New course – National Consumer Credit Protection course
The Commonwealth Government had confirmed that it will be taking over the regulation of credit. The new National Consumer Credit Protection (NCCP) legislation will take effect progressively from 2010. As part of this legislation a new National Credit Code (NCC) will take effect from 1 July 2010 and will replace the current Uniform Consumer Credit Code legislation. There will be some differences in the NCC, with the most significant being the regulation of residential investment loans. New licence requirements and responsible lending conduct obligations will also come into effect under the NCCP legislation.
SAFETRAC's new National Consumer Credit Protection course explains the new license requirements and responsible lending conduct obligations that have come into effect and provides easy to understand explanations so both staff and the organisation they work for can mitigate the risk of breaching the prohibitions.
