The course contains explanations of important principles and practical suggestions for managing the contract process. Federal Government Occupational Health & Safety is designed to provide a general understanding of how OH&S laws operate within government departments. Its aim is to ensure that every employee in the organisation is aware of his or her rights and responsibilities relating to OH&S, and is aware of health and safety hazards that may be present in work environments. Examples are provided to explain the application of the OH&S legal principles and provide hypothetical situations which are related to the Federal Government work place. The course also contains a separate module dealing with the unique obligations of senior employees and Agency management.
