Federal Government Procurement is a course that is designed to assist Government agencies to comply with the 2005 Commonwealth Procurement Guidelines. It focuses on the legal and probity risks in managing processes for acquiring goods or services including;

• Evaluation and Managing the Process
• Negotiation and Contracting including how to deal with indemnities and FMA Regulation 10

The manual details the legal and probity risks. The tutorials and tests are written to reinforce the application of the guidelines.

Federal Government Contract Law is designed to provide Government agencies with a basic overview of the principles of contracts and consists of the following three modules:

• Before the Contract
• Terms of the Contract
• Managing the Contract including how to deal with indemnities and FMA Regulation 10

The course contains explanations of important principles and practical suggestions for managing the contract process.

Federal Government Occupational Health & Safety is designed to provide a general understanding of how OH&S laws operate within government departments. Its aim is to ensure that every employee in the organisation is aware of his or her rights and responsibilities relating to OH&S, and is aware of health and safety hazards that may be present in work environments.

Examples are provided to explain the application of the OH&S legal principles and provide hypothetical situations which are related to the Federal Government work place. The course also contains a separate module dealing with the unique obligations of senior employees and Agency management.
